Dispatches from the Digital Revolution
Last week we posted about the first-ever Appazoogle live event in Boston—the glibly-named “Just Another Coding Party,” co-hosted by the Boston #ePrdctn Twitter meetup group. As promised, the event was held last Saturday on the Emerson College campus. About 30 coders of all levels took part in five hours of workshop sessions led by industry professionals and coding enthusiasts.
We’ve had a great response to this event, and hope to organize new, bigger, and better events for the future. If you attended the event, please be sure to share your thoughts in the post-event survey. If you didn’t attend the event but have ideas for events that you would like to be part of, feel free to send your comments to us via email: appazoogle [at] gmail [dot] com.
And no recap of this event would be complete without a round of heartfelt thank-yous. Appazoogle would like to thank the Boston #ePrdctn group, led by Iris Febres, and the instructors who volunteered their time and energy for this event: Brendan Gannon, Andrea Corbin, Andy Dost, Iris Febres, and John Rodzvilla. Another big thank you goes to the Emerson College graduate student organization for publishing, which helped us coordinate use of the Emerson facilities, and to faculty member John Rodzvilla for instructing and acting as Emerson faculty liaison.
Finally, we’re grateful to our participants for bearing with us through a few of the technical difficulties that come with running a first-time event. Thanks for your flexibility, attention, and feedback. We hope to be able to work with you all again soon!
